The first steps were taken in the early 2000s with an international tender; where a consortium consisting of IRITEC Iran and CMI Belgium won the project execution.
The plant construction contract in 13 April 2005 was signed and project financing began with SG Bank of France, Bank of Export Iran and shareholders' contributions.
in November 2010 The plant was inaugurated in the presence of the incumbent President and became one of the most advanced coated sheet production lines in the country.
In 2014, upon joining Mobarakeh Steel Group, a major leap in production capacity occurred, making the company the primary supplier of automotive galvanized sheet in the country.

Varagh Khodro Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari, as one of the subsidiaries of Mobarakeh Steel Group and a dedicated producer of galvanized sheets, plays a strategic role in supplying raw materials to the Automotive and Home Appliances of the country.

In collaboration with Mobarakeh Steel Mineral Supply & Processing Company, located in Esfarayen County, North Khorasan Province. This mine, with an area of 72 km² and annual extraction capacity of 60,000 tonnes of ore, is part of the company's sustainable raw material supply strategy.
